Well kids, I'm giving up beer for lent this year. Sigh. Yes, you heard this beer lover correctly. It's semi-good though, it will keep me from mindless drinking and possibly help me shed lbs. a little faster, both bonuses.
My new man does not condone me sacrificing beer and says God wouldn't want me to it give up. He is probably right, but I am crazy and always need to give up something that gives me great heartache when I am without it for 40 days.
The upcoming month+ will now be quite empty and flavorless. At least I will still have my soulmate, vodka, could never give that up!
Any other crazy Catholics out there? What are you sacrificing, if anything?
